Moving to the cast iron roof structure freed up the design decisions in terms of material palette and playfulness of the space.
The placing of the bar was at a pivotal point allowing patrons to be drawn through and dispersed along the rest of the garden space without causing choke points or congestion. This point was also seen as being at a crux for future development and access.
Light tones and materials could be selected here given the airier space and theme.
Polycarbonate and square sectional steel framing tied back into the garden theme while still allowed experimentations in lighting and obscuring of views.
